Anita Neve | Amsterdam, 1968

Photography is a language for me; a means of communication to reach what really matters; contact with others. Thereby I am very conscious of space. The spacious environment but more importantly, the space that we all need. To feel at ease, to be ourselves. Thus mutual understanding and respect can come into being to create meaningful images.
In general, I do not want to conform and rather think about content than visibility. I likes images in which I can find the
emotions of my surroundings. Sharpness and a correct lighting is often, but not always important. By playing with those, you sometimes get an unexpected image. Furthermore I like creative perspectives and sometimes have an odd sense of humor.
My life skills and wisdom come - besides from my curiosity; general university education and intellect - from my experience as a canine behavior therapist and my experience as a Tai Chi Chuan teacher.
When I graduated from the University of Applied Photography in Amsterdam, I belonged to the best of my year. My work is regularly published in magazines such as HVT Magazine, Noord-Hollands Dagblad, Gooi- & Eemlander, IJmuider Courant, Leidsch Dagblad, Haarlems Dagblad, Dier-En-Arts magazine et al.
I exhibited my work during the yearly Fotovakschool Graduation Show in Amsterdam, in Arthall ABW&W and in my own gallery.
